Costa Mesa, CA- Hope International took care of Simpson on Friday evening with a 3-0 win (26-24, 25-11, 25-22) on the neutral court of Vanguard.  Freshman Mikayla Derieg led the attack with 14 kills.  Junior Dana Nicholson topped the defensive charge with 18 digs.  Freshman Alex Smith had the best all around match with 37 assists, 10 digs, and a .667 hitting evening.

Volleyball - Sun, Aug. 31, 2014

Irvine, CA- Nine sets, 24 ties, and 38 lead changes showed the fight of the Royals on Saturday but they still dropped both matches.  Hope International lost 3-2 to Carroll (25-18, 22-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-6) and 3-1 to Concordia (NE) (18-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-17) during day two of their participation in the Concordia Labor Day Tournament.  Freshman Mikayla Derieg topped the Royals with 22 combined kills while Freshman Shea Beeman produced 35 digs in the two matches.

Volleyball - Fri, Aug. 29, 2014

Irvine, CA- In their first day of participation at Concordia's Labor Day Tournament, Hope International split with La Sierra and Great Falls.  Sophomore Katie Landazuri topped the team with 24 kills on the day which included a 16 kill, 12 dig performance against La Sierra.

Volleyball - Fri, Aug. 15, 2014

La Mirada, CA- Hope International opened their season on the right foot by taking the first set from Viterbo (WI).  But they finished their opening match on the wrong foot as they dropped the next three sets and fell 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 13-25, 14-25) to the Hawks.  Freshman Mikayla Derieg started her collegiate career with 11 kills.

Fullerton, CA- Hope International Women's Volleyball Head Coach Jessica Walker is pleased to announce the signing of four recruits for the 2014 season.  The four signees, who participated in the recent HIU Athletic Signing Day, are equally balanced between two college transfers and two freshmen.

Fullerton, CA- Junior Amanda Aguilar has earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors as announced last week by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics office.  She was honored as a GSAC Scholar-Athlete a few weeks ago by the Golden State Athlete Conference.

Santa Barbara, CA- Hope International closed out their season with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-18) loss at #14 Westmont.  Senior Nikki Bradbury had a team high 10 kills in her final collegiate contest.
