FULLERTON, CA – Hope International University hosted San Diego Christian on Saturday, September 10 at 7:00 pm to cap a long day of Royals Athletics in the Darling Pavilion. After dropping the GSAC opening night to Biola on Tuesday HIU rebounded with a four-set win at home against the Hawks.

FULLERTON, CA – The Royals of Hope International University hosted #15 Biola University to open the 2016 GSAC competition in the Darling Pavilion. After falling behind two sets to none the Royals rallied to force a fifth set but came up just short of toppling the ranked Eagles in five.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International hosted the final match of its 2016 Labor Day Tournament with a meeting against the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College (ID) in the 6:00 pm match on Saturday, Sept. 3. The Royals would lose to the visiting Warriors in straight sets to close their tournament with a 1-2 record.

FULLERTON, CA - Hope International hosted its inaugural Labor Day Tournament this weekend and opened with a win over UC Merced before facing Carroll College (MT) in the nightcap. HIU would be forced to settle for a 1-1 split on the day as they fell in five to Carroll after fighting back from a 0-2 start in the set count.

FULLERTON, CA – The Royals hosted the Warriors of Life Pacific on Tuesday, Aug. 30 in the Darling Pavilion in their last match before the 2016 Labor Day Tournament. The Royals got off to a slow start in the first set but pulled together quickly for a sweep of the visiting Warriors.

FULLERTON, CA - Hope International is proud to offer its first-ever Labor Day Tournament over the coming weekend on Sept. 2 and 3. Eight teams from three different NAIA conferences will compete in the Darling Pavilion over the course of two days. The Royals will be playing three matches as part of the round robin tournament format, while other teams will play as many as four matches.

SANTA CLARITA, CA – Hope International hit the road for its first away match of the 2016 season in a non-conference neutral contest against the Owls from Oregon Institute of Technology. The Royals found themselves down two sets and fought back to force a fifth before ultimately losing out in five.
