FULLERTON, CA – Hope International hosted William Jessup on Saturday, Sept. 30 and came up with its third GSAC victory of the 2017 season after playing two extra periods against the Warriors. Both teams had their chances in regulation, but it would be a goal in the final minutes of the second overtime that gave HIU the win.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International took down (RV) Menlo on Thursday, Sept. 30 in a morning matchup at Fullerton College. The Royals found themselves playing from behind for much of the match but some late-game magic allowed HIU to come up with the win in overtime.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International hosted San Diego Christian on Saturday, Sept. 23 in its second conference tilt of the 2017 season. The Royals found themselves trailing early in the match but were able to rally in the second half for their first GSAC victory of the year.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International opened up its 2017 GSAC slate with a test at home against Arizona Christian on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 am. The two sides had a number of dangerous chances in front of the net, but the match would require overtime to decide the final result.

LA MIRADA, CA – Hope International traveled to face former GSAC rival Biola University on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Eagles' home field at 7:00 pm in their first non-conference matchup in more than a decade. The Royals fought to tie the match after falling behind early, but their hosts were able to take the match with a late strike in the closing minutes.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International hosted University of Antelope Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in a non-conference test at Fullerton College. The Royals played an excellent first half that was undone by the Pioneers in the final moments of the second period, resulting in a 2-1 loss for HIU.

PRESCOTT, AZ – Hope International suffered its first loss of the 2017 season on Friday, Sept. 8 at Embry-Riddle (AZ). The No. 20 Eagles hosted the Royals and took an early lead that was never relinquished for a shutout victory at home against the visiting HIU squad.
