FULLERTON, CA – Hope International University hosted (RV) Johnson & Wales in its final non-conference tilt of the 2016 regular season at Fullerton College. A hot afternoon was matched by tempers on the field but HIU avoided having anyone sent off and walked away unbeaten with a 2-1 victory.

As the only remaining undefeated team in the GSAC HIU was fighting to maintain their empty loss column while the Hawks were searching for their first conference win.

MISSION VIEJO, CA - The Golden State Athletic Conference Office announced its Player of the Week selections for events between Sept. 19 and Sept. 24. Ryan Brown has been named the GSAC Defender of the Week for his play in goal as a member of HIU men's soccer.

PHOENIX, AZ – The Royals traveled to Phoenix for their second GSAC match of the 2016 season and entered the match against the Arizona Christian Firestorm with an undefeated 6-0-2 record. The Royals got their seventh victory of the season to stay the only unbeaten team in the GSAC with a 3-1 final against the hosting ACU squad.

FULLERTON, CA – Hope International opened GSAC play on Tuesday, Sept. 20 against the Westmont College Warriors at Fullerton College. The Royals were swept by the visiting Warriors during the 2015 regular season but took a win off WC in the postseason in Santa Barbara and entered the match with a 2-2 record through the two previous seasons.

FULLERTON, CA – The Royals hosted Providence Christian in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, September 10 at 2:30 pm. The Royals battled early against the visiting Sea Beggars but eventually established themselves before earning their fifth shutout victory of the season.
