[Women's Tennis] Houston Earns All-GSAC Honors

Fullerton, CA- Junior Caroline Houston has been named to the 2013 Women's Tennis All-GSAC Team as announced yesterday by the Golden State Athletic Conference. Houston produced a combined 11 wins in singles and doubles on the year.

Fullerton, CA- Juniors Adi Lopez, Lauren Ackerson, and Liz Gonzalez were all named to the 2013 Softball All-GSAC Team as announced by the Golden State Athletic Conference today. Lopez led the Royals in batting average, Ackerson topped the Royals in power, and Gonzalez carried the Royals in the circle.

Fullerton, CA- On Wednesday night, Hope International Athletics honored their Senior athletes at the second annual Senior Banquet. The climax of the night was the naming of the male and female athlete in the three categories of Athlete of the Year, Scholar-Athlete, and Champion of Character.

Ojai, CA- Four Hope International Men's Tennis members concluded their seasons as individuals at the 113^th Annual Ojai Valley Tournament with the last of their matches finishing on Saturday afternoon. Junior John-Douglas Owens led the way as he finished up in the quarterfinals in singles and semi-finals in doubles.

[Softball] Warriors Use Power To Knock Royals Out Of Playoffs

Irvine, CA- William Jessup showed off their power against Hope International on Friday as six of their runs came via a home run in the 9-1 loss for the Royals. The loss knocks HIU out of the GSAC- Cal Pac Playoffs and most probably ends their season. Junior Lauren Ackerson drove in the lone HIU run.

[Softball] Royals Pull Off Huge Comeback To Stay in Playoffs

Irvine, CA- Down 8-1 after two innings, Hope International pulled off a dramatic 11-8 comeback win over Vanguard in the GSAC- Cal Pac playoffs on Thursday at Concordia. Senior Janelle Medor homered in the second inning to open the scoring and Sophomore Stephanie Froussine drilled a two run home run to account for the game winning runs. Medor and Junior Adi Lopez both went 3-5 in the game.

Irvine, CA- Hope International opened their appearance in the GSAC-Cal Pac playoffs by scoring two runs but William Jessup scored the next seven for the 7-2 win. Junior Adi Lopez was 2-4 with a double and a run scored.

Fullerton, CA- Junior infielder Lauren Ackerson has been named the GSAC Softball Player of the Week as announced by the Golden State Athletic Conference today. Last week, Ackerson hit .364 with six RBI and six walks while belting two home runs and a double for a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Costa Mesa, CA- Needing a sweep of their own to grab second, Hope International lost both on Saturday at Vanguard (5-0 and 4-3) to finish third in the GSAC. Sophomore Crystal Martin went 2-5 on the day with a run scored. Junior Liz Gonzalez threw both games.

[Men's Volleyball] Blonski Earns All-American Status

Fullerton, CA- Sophomore Outside Hitter Dominique Blonski was named to the 2013 AVCA NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Team as announced on Thursday. Blonski led the Royals with 403 kills. His 3.8 kills per set ranked him fourth in the NAIA.

[Softball] Royals Mount Two Comebacks, Including Ackerson Walk-off Homer, To Sweep Biola

Fullerton, CA- Hope International pulled off two comebacks, including being down 10-2 in game one, to sweep Biola 12-11 and 8-6 on a breezy Tuesday afternoon. Junior Lauren Ackerson was 3-5 on the day with five walks, two home runs (including a walk off in game one), a double, five RBI, and four runs scored. Senior Janelle Medor was 5-8 with a double, two runs, and two RBI playing in her final two games in front of the home fans at Craig Park.
