Head Coach - 6th Season
Alma Mater: Cal State Fullerton '86

The 2014-15 season will be the fifth year for Bill Crammer as the Head Coach of the Hope International Women’s Basketball Program.   The Royals are looking to build on their historic 2013-14 season.

The 2013-14 campaign was filled with historic firsts for Hope International Women’s Basketball.  After finishing the regular season 20-9 and in fourth place in GSAC with an 8-6 mark, HIU took on the GSAC Playoffs.  The Royals knocked off Biola in the first round and then #1 Vanguard in the Semi-Finals before beating The Master’s in the GSAC Finals.  The win in the GSAC Finals was the first ever Hope International GSAC Tournament Championship and sent Women’s Basketball to their first ever NAIA National Tournament. The 23 wins on the season established a new HIU all-time Women’s Basketball season high.  Andrina Rendon and Brittany Bauman earned NAIA All-American honors.

HIU started out the 2012-13 season winning their first four games including a 105-57 blowout of Bethesda.  The rest of the season was highlighted by the Royals sweeping Arizona Christian and pulling out wins against Concordia (CA) and Biola to account for their GSAC wins.  Even with a final record of 12-19, Andrina Rendon became the first NAIA and NCCAA All-American (HM) Royal in the Crammer coached years.

Coach Crammer first two seasons were filled with growing pains but still produced two All-GSAC performers.

Crammer joined the Royals coaching staff after spending five years as the Varsity Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Whittier Christian High School.  The Crammer led Heralds put together a record of 93-52 which includes winning two CIF Championships.

The 2007 and 2008 seasons accounted for over half of the wins in Crammer’s WCHS career with final records of 24-7 and 24-8.  Not surprising, those are the two years that the Heralds won CIF and advanced to the State playoffs.  Crammer was named Southern Section Divisional and Whittier Area Coach of the Year for his team’s efforts.

Even with fourteen players earning Alpha/Olympic League honors and twelve All-Division honors, Crammer is most proud of the numerous students that left his program to go on to college.

Prior to Whittier Christian, Crammer served in numerous coaching positions at Downey High School (his alma mater) and Valley Christian High School.  He owned a successful private accounting business from 1992-2005.

In his twenty plus seasons of coaching prior to Hope, Coach Crammer never had a team post a losing season.

Educationally, Crammer has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from California State University Fullerton.  He is currently enrolled in the Coaching and Athletic Administration Masters program at Concordia University Irvine.

Coach Crammer and his wife, Regina, reside in La Habra with only a couple of their seven children still living at home.  The Crammers attend Whittier Area Community Church.
