Costa Mesa, CA- On Saturday, Hope International was able to see firsthand why their Vanguard counterparts are ranked number three in the NAIA.  Senior Enzo Correa produced the best results but Sophomore Nick Arriola also earned a couple points within his matches.

The Costa Mesa Tennis Center was the site of Saturday's get together.

In singles, Correa made his Vanguard opponent Roger Muri do some work in number two singles action.  The first set went in the favor of Muri 6-2.  Correa hung around in the second set before being turned away 6-3.

Arriola faced off with Michael Rjazanov in number six singles.  The closest set was the first as Arriola served his way to two game wins.  Rjazanov shutout Arriola in their second set of play.

All three doubles saw HIU earn at least one game win but the Lions over powered them from there.

On Tuesday, the Royals will head to Westmont in Santa Barbara for a 2:00 pm first serve.
