La Habra, CA- Hope International was turned away by #12 Concordia 9-0 on Tuesday.  The two Royals native to Brazil- Senior Enzo Correa and Junior Thiago Brito- had the best showing.

Correa and Brito teamed up in doubles on the number one court against Concordia's Chris Wickenhauser and Jan Guler.  Unfortunately, the Concordia duo out played the Hope International duo to the tune of 8-2.

In singles play, Correa and Brito were the last two still playing.

On the number four court, Brito was the only other Royal besides Correa to earn a game win in both sets.

Playing on the number two court, Correa and CUI's Moritz Pronath pounded away at each other through the afternoon and into the evening.  The lights on their court at the La Habra Tennis Center had to be turned on so they could finish their match.  The first two sets were a hard fought with Correa pulling out the first set 6-4.  But the second set went to Pronath with a little extra work at 7-5.  With the team match decided and both teams standing around waiting for the two guys to finish, they played a super tie break third set.  Unfortunately, Correa appeared to run out of gas as Pronath beat him 10-3 for the win.

On Saturday, Hope International will meet up with Vanguard at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.  The men are scheduled for an 11:00 am first serve.
