Fullerton, CA- Senior Setter Danilo Pereira has been named a repeat NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week as announced by the MAMVIC conference on Monday.

Pereira, from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, earns his second setter of the week honor in as many weeks thanks to 91 assists over three matches.

His week high of 39 assists came on Monday against Saint Xavier. He ended the week with a 35 assist match up at Holy Names.

Pereira is attempting to chase the all-time HIU Men's Volleyball assist mark. He currently sits 292 assists away from taking the lead with 6 confirmed matches left to play.

That said the Pereira led Royals moved into the number three ranking with Monday's NAIA ranking announcement. HIU is attempting to qualify for the National Invitational which would add a few matches for Pereira to set a new assist standard.

The Royals do not play again until they host the MAMVIC National Division Tournament on March 23 and 24.
