She reached second on a throwing error, but would not see another base that inning.

The Royals put together their final four runs in the fourth inning. With one out, Rivas reached first on a throwing error from the short stop. Molina reached on a walk. Nava moved both runners into scoring position with a beautiful sacrifice bunt. Guillen produced two RBI with a double to center, scoring both Rivas and Molina. Walker clutched up again with a triple to left center, bringing Guillen around to score. The final run came for Hope when Cano reached on an error by the short stop. Walked scored on the wild throw.

Guillen collected the win in the circle for game one, giving her a final regular season record of 13-5. She threw seven complete innings, giving up ten hits and one walk, but she allowed only one earned run to score. She also had three strikeouts.

The Royals collected another seven hits for game two, but only produced three runs this time around. The first two hits came in the second inning. Ashley Bonham (FR/Modesto, CA) singled to center, and Molina singled to right, but no runs were produced that inning.

Hope's three runs came in the third inning. Ally Painter (JR/La Palma, CA) started the inning with a double down the left field line. Guillen moved her to third with a single to center and then advanced to second on the throw to third. Walker blasted another triple to center field to clear the bases yet again. She scored on the same play by a throwing error from center field.

Bonham produced another single in the fourth, but she would not come around to score. Martinez also came up with a single to left in the fifth, but her pinch runner was thrown out at second on an attempt to steal.
