KANSAS CITY, MO – Three players have been named NAIA Men's Volleyball National Players of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Isaiah Acfalle from Clarke (Iowa) was selected as Attacker of the Week, CJ Rilveria of Lourdes (Ohio) was chosen as Defender of the Week and the Setter of the week honor went to Enrique Lopez of Hope International (Calif.). These three were selected based on their performances from Jan. 30 – Feb. 5 and were chosen out of a pool of conference player of the week nominees.

HIU's own Enrique Lopez garnered his first-ever national recognition for his performance at the Grand View (IA) Molten Invite – Lopez helped push his team to a 5-1 record at the Invite and was named All-Tournament for his effort on the court after finishing the week with 174 assists, 33 digs, 17 kills, 10 blocks (four solo), and two aces in 23 sets through six matches.

As of this writing, Lopez currently stands atop the standings for all NAIA men's volleyball setters with a nation-best 452 assists and is eighth in the NAIA with 89 total digs so far this season. Lopez turned in two double-double performances against then-(RV) Graceland (IA) with 28 assists, 12 digs and against then-No. 7 Lourdes (OH) with a week-high 44 assists and 12 digs.

The Royals are currently 9-5 in part because of Lopez' strong play at the setter position and will face Benedictine-Mesa (AZ) next in Phoenix on Feb. 11 & 12.
