IRVINE, CA - The Golden State Athletic Conference Office announced the 2016 All-GSAC Volleyball Team presented by Under Armour. The All-GSAC team consists of 14 players and is led by Player of the Year Libby Dahlberg, a sophomore standout from Westmont. Freshman of the Year honors go to Cassidy Rea of Westmont. Also from Westmont, Kami Troesh wins Libero of the Year. Patti Cook of Westmont, who led the Warriors to a perfect regular season of 31-0, is the GSAC Coach of the Year. To see the complete list of the All-GSAC team, go to the Volleyball Awards Page.

Katie Landazuri (JR/Temecula, CA) was selected from Hope International as one of 14 All-GSAC players for the first time in her career. Landazuri finished the 2016 season as the team leader in kills with 377 and also tallied 198 digs during the year – her 198 digs were the third-best total on the team. During the 2016 season Landazuri also added 16 assists, 13 blocks, and six aces.

Landazuri is the second-straight HIU player to be named All-GSAC after Conley Kipp collected the award for her play in the 2015 season – prior to Kipp the last HIU athlete named All-GSAC for women's volleyball was Sydney Patton of the 2003 team. Landazuri has one year of eligibility remaining after her 2014 season was cut short with an injury.

Congratulations Katie on this recognition of your effort during the season.
