LA HABRA, CA- In their last home game of the season Hope International took on (RV) San Diego Christian at home for a GSAC match on Tuesday, April 5. The Royals lost with a final score of 2-7.

SDCC was short a player so the two points that the Royals received were due to that as the Hawks defaulted in one singles match and one doubles match. HIU was still able to score some points throughout their various matches. In doubles, Chelsea Bollinger (SR/Riverside, CA) and Jessica Cornea (JR/Anaheim, CA) scored one point against their competitors, giving them a final tally of 1-8.

When it came to singles, the Royals put together a few points as well. Sabrina Miller (SR/Lancaster, CA) scored three points giving her a final tally of 1-6, 2-6. Bollinger scored two points in her singles match, finishing with a 1-6, 1-6 final. Celeste Chavez (FR/Whittier, CA) scored one point in her singles match. She finished with a final score of 1-6, 0-6 to avoid the straight sweep.

The Royals' final game of the season will be held in Santa Barbara on Saturday, April 9, against Westmont College at 1:00 pm.
