FULLERTON, CA – Hope International hosted Benedictine-Mesa (AZ) for Senior Night on Friday, Mar. 25 in the Darling Pavilion and were able to sweep the visiting Redhawks in three sets. After honoring their five 2017 seniors the Royals put together a very focused attack on the court to finish in three sets.

Fullerton, CA- Hope International split a doubleheader with the Vanguard University Lions in the first games of the season series on Friday, Mar. 24. HIU lost the first game of the doubleheader to end their 15-0 run but bounced back in the second for a win against the No. 17 team in the NAIA.

PLACENTIA, CA – Hope International University hosted William Jessup for a three-game series and complete a sweep of the visiting Warriors after winning all three games by a combined margin of 19-11. Dominic Potlongo (SO/Placentia, CA), George Castillo (JR/Lakewood, CA), and Justin Moulds (SR/Huntington Beach, CA) picked up the three wins for HIU to help the Royals improve to 5-1 all-time against Jessup.

MESA, AZ – Hope International was able to keep its win streak alive on Saturday, March 18, with a sweep of Benedictine-Mesa in the greater Phoenix area. The Royals continue to pile up victories and wins in a sterling start to their 2017 season – the 21-5 record now midway through the 2017 season is the best start in program history by a considerable margin.

Men's Basketball - Fri, Mar. 17, 2017

KANSAS CITY, MO – No. 5 Hope International drew No. 9 Life in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament and battled with the Running Eagles through regulation in a classic tourney matchup - several fans after the game were overheard after the game remarking that the game was good enough that it deserved to be a Quarterfinals contest. HIU fell behind early, rallied to lead at the break, and ultimately fell in a heartbreaker as time expired.
